A ridge-top glamping hotel above the widest canyon in the southern hemisphere. The studio designed Ophiuchus and Pisces — the two suites now open and taking guests — and the outdoor rooms around them: kitchen, fire, bath and lookout.
The bubble gave the project its geometry. One circle, repeated — through the raised platform, the parasols, the paths and the fire pit — so that a site with almost no walls still reads as one designed place. Three further suites are in design.
The next generation of suites, currently in design. The same idea, drawn tighter: circular platforms, concrete rings for fire and water, and the bubble at the centre of its own small landscape.
Built and in use. The outdoor kitchen, the wood store, the pizza oven — every service of a hotel room, translated to a ridge with no corridors.
The design doesn’t stop at sunset — fire, lantern light and the southern sky are part of the room.
